Information

As a clean and renewable energy, wind energy has been paid more and more attention all over the world. The storage of global wind energy resources is about 53 trillion kwh/year. In theory, as long as 50% of wind energy resources can be developed, it can meet the global power energy demand. By the end of 2010, the total installed capacity of global wind power reached 199 million kilowatts, generating more than 409.9 billion kilowatt hours, accounting for 1.92% of the world's total power generation. At present, more than 100 countries in the world have started to develop wind power. The European Union, the United States and China's wind power market are controlling the overall situation of world wind power development at this stage. At present, the top 10 countries of wind power cumulative installed capacity are: the United States, China, Germany, Spain, India, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Denmark. The top 10 countries with new installed capacity in 2010 are China, the United States, Spain, Germany, India, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Canada and Portugal.

Since the 1990s, the annual average growth rate of wind power generation capacity has been 25%, which has become one of the fastest growing energy sources in the world. European wind power development is the most dazzling, and its wind power installed capacity accounts for more than 70% of the world's wind power installed capacity. The reason why it develops so fast mainly depends on the guidance of the government. For example, Germany subsidizes the development of renewable energy through the "renewable energy law". Denmark, on the other hand, implements state financial subsidies for green power by imposing carbon dioxide emission tax, including electricity price subsidy, investment subsidy and scientific research subsidy, and stipulates the amount of wind power that must be purchased out of the grid. The structure of implementing this policy has made Germany's wind power surpass that of the United States in 1997 and rank first in the world. Wind power has accounted for 3.5% of the nation's power generation, and the United States ranks second. Spain has become a rising star, ranking third, and Denmark has retreated to fourth due to its small territory, but its wind power has accounted for 16% of the country's total power generation.
